gins in 1957. Since then restoration o f Kirillov is steadily carried out. Wall
paintings and iconostases inside the churches are being restored along with
the buildings themselves.
Two wooden structures, of which the church o f the Borodava village is
one o f the earliest extant monuments o f Russian wooden a rch itec tu re , were
transferred to the monastery in order to be preserved there.
